MY VIRTUAL LIFE ASSIGNMENT Emily Jensen Community College of Aurora My Virtual Life Assignment For this assignment, I have organized my responses into a report based on the following periods of development: infancy and toddlerhood (birth to 30 months), early childhood (3 to 5 years), middle childhood (6-11 years), and adolescence (12-18 years). The last section of my paper includes my responses to the personal reflection questions. Infancy and Toddlerhood 8 Months 1. How does your baby’s eating, sleeping, and motor development compare to the typical developmental patterns? Describe your child’s behavior in each of these domains and refer to what might be expected at these ages. Support your response with evidence from the text or multimedia resources. Henry did not feed well initially and lost a little weight, but he eventually began to feed appropriately and he gained the weight back. He was hungry more often than most newborns, feeding every couple hours and he would occasionally become fussy and have diarrhea, but he was typically relaxed and content after meals. I chose to breastfed Henry, but also supplement with formula. My partner and I are going to begin introducing him to different baby foods. At first, Henry would sleep for about two hours at a time, which is typical for a newborn.
